Answer:1. When you begin to feel winded, tell yourself, “I can survive the PACER test. I will not quit.” so don't doubt yourself

2. If you think of the test as a race, you'll push yourself too hard in the beginning. This may leave you too tired to actually finish. As the name implies, you have to pace yourself. Remember that it is not a race.

3. Go as slow as possible at each stage. Avoid getting tired quickly by jogging instead of sprinting. After you’ve practiced the test a few times, you’ll know how much time there is between the beeps at each level of the test. So make sure you get to the line before the beep, however!

4. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth while you run.  Keep your breathing steady by counting to 2 as you breathe in and 2 as you breathe out.Try practicing breathing like this before you start running. Do it while standing. Once you get the hang on it, try doing it while walking, then jogging, then running.

Answer:

There aren't many tips that can be given this late (exercise is something you get better at doing over time), but I can say this:

Breath IN through your mouth, and OUT through your nose. This helps keep your oxygen levels higher so you don't run out of energy.

Don't over-exert yourself in the beginning. Humans are 'endurance predators', so it's bad to run as hard and fast as you can in the beginning because you will drain your energy too soon.

Vlada [557]

The correct answer would be, Phonemic Restoration.

Maryl's coughs result in the omission of word sounds. This illustrates the Phonemic Restoration Effect.

Explanation:

Phonemic Restoration is basically an illusion which a listener perceives in the speaker's speech.

In this illusion, the listener listens words that are not uttered by the mouth of speaker. The speaker may utter only some sounds which can be interpreted by the listener.

So when Maryl had a terrible cough and she was not able to utter proper words but some sounds, her roommate was able to understand what she was saying. This is called as the Phonemic Restoration effect
