Using the frequency table, you can roughly imagine the how the histogram/graph of the values will look in your head. The closer you are to 0, the higher the frequencies, so the higher bars that you graph. As you get further away, the frequencies get smaller, so the bars you graph will also be shorter. The graph will look something similar to middle graph in the picture I attached.

So now its time to match the look of the graph to the types of distributions you have. It's clearly not uniform/bell-shaped (those are the same thing) because its not symmetrical like the graph on the left in the picture I attached. It's not left-skewed like the graph on the right because our graph is higher on the left. That leaves right-skewed as the correct answer.

In right-skewed distributions, the mean<span> is typically greater than the median. You also could have tackled the problem by finding the mean and the median, but the way above is faster.</span>

Which would best display the following data if you wanted to display the numbers which are outliers as well as the mean? [4, 1,
Serhud [2]

Arranging data in ascending order to identify the outlier and calculate the mean

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data as: [4, 1, 3, 10, 18, 12, 9, 4, 15, 16, 32]

Arrange in ascending order

                               [1, 3, 4, 4, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, 32 ]

The outlier is 32

Finding the mean;

Mean=sum of data set/number of data set

Sum= 1 + 3+ 4+ 4+ 9+ 10+ 12+ 15+ 16+ 18+ 32=124

Number of data set=11

Mean=124/11=11.27

Which inequality represents the value of x that ensures triangle abc exists?
olasank [31]

Answer:

Option A.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to triangle inequality theorem, a triangle exists if the sum of two sides is greater that third side.

Apply this theorem on each combination.

Case I: (2x+4)+6x>18

8x+4>18

8x>14

x>\dfrac{14}{8}

x>\dfrac{7}{4}      ...(1)

Case II: (2x+4)+18>6x

2x+22>6x

22>4x

\dfrac{22}{4}>x

\dfrac{11}{2}>x     ...(2)

Case III: 6x+18>2x+4

6x-2x>4-18

4x>-14

x>-\dfrac{14}{4}

x>-\dfrac{7}{2}     ...(3)

On combining (1), (2) and (3), we get

\dfrac{7}{4}

Therefore, the correct option is A.
