Elementary school children are usually under the supervision and care of either their parents, relations, or care-giver. At this point, they only interpret or define themselves by their academic self-esteem and social self-esteem. This means that they define themselves by what they have accomplished themselves in school and how intelligent they are, and also by how much they socialize with their peers and other adults.
