4s+5=19

You need to get s by itself

Minus 5 from each side

4s=14

14÷4= 3 \frac{2}{4} ⇒ 3 \frac{1}{2}

Answer: 3 \frac{1}{2}

4s + 5 = 19

First, subtract 5 from both sides. / Your problem should look like: 4s = 19 - 5.
Second, simplify 19 - 5 to 14. / Your problem should look like: 4s = 14.
Third, divide both sides by 4. / Your problem should look like: s = \frac{14}{4} .
Fourth, simplify \frac{14}{4} to \frac{7}{2} . / Your problem should look like: s = \frac{7}{2} which is the answer.

11. Caroline wraps packages at a store. She wraps
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

<em>C. in five hours Caroline wraps an odd number of packages</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>for</em><em> A until hours you would multiply 2 by 9 and 2 by 9 is 18 and that's an even number so it's not A.</em>

A eliminated.

for B in 3 hours 3 by 9 is 27 and that's an odd number so B is automatically eliminated.

<em>for C in 5 hours all you would do is multiply the 9 by 5 and 9 by 5 is 45 and 45 is indeed an odd number so C is your answer.</em>

<em>for D 7 by 9 is 63 and 63 is an odd number so we already know that C is the answer but still we got to check and D is wrong because 63 is not an even number.</em>

If a child's knowledge of the alphabet is limited to the letters a, b, c, i, and e, and if the child writes two letters at rando
Savatey [412]
The formula for probability is # of favorable outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes.

So we know that there are a total of 5 letters. The child writes two letters, so we will have x/5 * x/5. Now, it is asking, what is the probability that they are both vowels.

We can see that a, i, and e are vowels, so the probability if the child were to write one letter would be 3/5. Since he is writing 2, you can multiply 3/5 * 3/5, which would give you your answer, 9/25. Therefore the probability that both letters are vowels is 9/25.

Hope this helps! Please rate, leave a thanks, and mark a brainliest answer. (Not necessarily mine). Thanks, it really helps! :D
