Split it into a net shape and find he areas

if you look and reead carefully

equilataral, means all sides are equal, also means that te heights of all side rectangles are the same

so we only need to find the area of the 2 triangles and the 3 rectangles

area of triangle=1/2bh
b=5
h=4.3
since 2 triangles, times 2
1/2*2*5*4.3=21.5

the 3 rectangles
area=legnth times width
legnth=20
width=5
3 of them so times 3
3*20*3=300

find total by adding

21.5+300=321.5

System of Equations

For the problem to solve we'll use the following variables:

x = number of the early bird tickets sold

y = number of the regular tickets sold

Haley sold a total of 20 tickets, thus:

x + y = 20 [1]

Early bird tickets cost $10 and regular tickets cost $15, thus the total money collected is:

10x + 15y = 225

Dividing by 5:

2x + 3y = 45 [2]

We have to solve the system of equations [1] and [2].

Multiply [1] by -2:

-2x - 2y = -40 [3]

Add [3] to [2]:

-2x - 2y +2x + 3y = -40 + 45

Simplifying:

y = 5

Substituting in [1]:

x + 5 = 20

Subtracting 5:

x = 20 - 5

x = 15

Solution: Hayley sold 15 early bird tickets and 5 regular-priced tickets

The order pair solution is (15,5)

Plzz Help !!!! What í the equation of (2x+y)^3 ???
Murljashka [212]
If you are talking about the binomial being expanded then it would be:

8x^3 + 12x^2y + 6xy^2 + y^3

The y in the second term is not part of the exponent

And since you are raising the binomial to the third, you would be using the third row of Pascal's triangle.

Hope this helped!

Drag each tile to the correct box. not all tiles will be used.Chris plans to mulch the border surrounding a rectangular garden i
amm1812

Length (L): 2w + 3

width (w): w

border (b): \frac{1}{4} w

Area (A) = (L + b) * (w + b)   <em>NOTE: This is assuming the width also has a border</em>

              = (2w + 3 + \frac{1}{4} w) * (w + \frac{1}{4} w)

              = (2\frac{1}{4} w + 3)(1\frac{1}{4} w)

              = (\frac{9}{4} w + 3)(\frac{5}{4} w)

              = \frac{45}{16} w^2 + \frac{15}{4}w
