Multiple-choice question how does dr. dweck interpret the practice adapted by a chicago high school of awarding "not yet" grades

instead of fs? it coddles the students by using a euphemism to artificially protect them from the reality that they have failed. it promotes efficacy by implying that the student is on the path toward achieving a passing grade in the future. it potentially damages students' self-esteem by focusing on what they haven't accomplished instead of what they have. it guarantees that the student will be successful in the subject at hand in the future.

The correct choice is "it promotes efficacy by implying that the student is on the path toward achieving a passing grade in the future".

In her TED talk, “The Power of Believing You Can Improve”, Carol Dweck clarifies the force of "Not Yet". Understudies need to pass a specific number of classes to graduate, and in the event that they don't pass, they get an alternate sort of review: "Not Yet” instead of “fail”.

How did the outcome of the war affect the federalist partys efforts to change the constitution
Eddi Din [679]
The efforts of the Revolutionary War left our country surviving as individual states holding the most power and bitter rivals for land, economics and such. It also left us with no way to back the continentals (what the money was called) with any substance. In other words continentals were basically not worth much. We also did not have a navy to protect our trade with the West Indies or other British ports and since we owed Spain and could not pay it Spain closed off our waterway - the Mississippi River.
This being done we attempted to come up with a federal government who's power was extremely limited. The federalist regrouped, sat down and created our Constitution- getting rid of the bad parts of the Articles and creating a stronger government. One which has become a leader for other countries.
Hope this helps. Sorry for it being so long- but I'm a substitute teacher which specializes in social studies from 6th to 12th grade.

blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

D). None of the above.

Explanation:

As per the question, none of the given statements assert a true claim regarding the results or outcomes of the enactment of government policies. The first statement is incorrect as it wrongly states that 'equality can be enhanced without an efficiency loss' which is actually the opposite. The second statement is false because it inappropriately states that 'efficiency can be enhanced without harming equality' as equality and efficiency can never go hand in hand and this justifies the wrongness of the claim made in third statement too. Hence, option D is the correct answer.
