I would tell her to find make a list of things that make her happy, she should do one of them each day and try to repeat them.

Explanation:

Sensation and perception greatly determine how we as humans react to things. Our genetic makeup, environment, expectations and interests all influence or perception.

Our sensations such as sight, taste and hearing is responsible for helping us to perceive the world and the way we interpret the information that we sense is what leads to our perception of the world, including the things that make us happy.

In order to be happier, identifying the things that make them happy and doing them without repeating them creates different unique experiences. The feeling of happiness becomes new and exciting everyday.
