Answer:

Consider the complete question and its attached image is shown below,

Jonah purchased a tablet from a store on credit. He is charged no interest and makes a payment each month. The function graphed models Jonah's account balance, y, at the store, in dollars, after x months.

What do the key features of the graph indicate in this situation?

Drag and drop the answers into the boxes.

The ______  indicates that Jonah will have paid off the tablet after ______  months.

0  12  50  600  x-intercept  y-intercept  slope

Solution : In the below graph,

x-axis represents the number of months and y-axis represents the credit card balance after x months,

Since, slope of the line is positive,

Thus, the amount are paying off.

Again by the graph,

i.e. when x = 0 months, y = -$600

So, the credit card balance is -$600 initially,

Also, x = 12 months, y = $ 0

i.e. the credit card balance is $ 0 in 12th months.

Now, the x-coordinate of the point at which the graph intercept x-axis is called x-intercept of the graph.

Thus, x-intercept of the line is 12.

Hence,  the x-intercept indicates that Jonah will have paid off the tablet after 12  months.

A toll road company has two plans for customers. One plan charges $10 per month for rental of a transponder (a box that identifi
Lunna [17]

Answer:

The minimum number of miles you would need to drive in a month to make the first deal a better deal is 66.6 miles.

Step-by-step explanation:

For the first deal to be a better deal it has to cost less than the second plan and you can write an equation in which the first plan has a lower cost than the second one:

10+0.60m<0.75m, where:

m is the number of miles driven

Now, you can solve for m:

10<0.75m-0.60m

10<0.15m

10/0.15<m

m>66.6

According to this, the answer is that the minimum number of miles you would need to drive in a month to make the first deal a better deal is 66.6 miles.
