Hi there...

Solve the system using substitution.
2x + 2y = 38
y = x + 3

We need to solve y = x+ 3 for y
substitute x + 3 for y in 2x + 2y = 38
2x + 2y = 38
Now replace x+3 everywhere there's y
2x + 2(x+3) = 38
2x + 2x + 6 = 38
4x + 6 = 38
4x = 38 - 6
4x = 32
x = 32/4
x = 8
Now, we have the number of x which is gonna help us find y
what we gonna do is replace 8 everywhere we see an x so we find y. Please follow me :)

Substitute 8 for x in y = x + 3
y = 8 + 3
y = 11
Final answer : x = 8 and y = 11
The correct option is A

If you have any further questions about my answer please let me know.

By the way.... I would be happy to help you with the other 10 :)

Good luck !

x = 1

Answer:

m\angle XVW = 100\degree

Step-by-step explanation:

In the first figure, FP is the bisector of \angle DFE

\therefore m\angle 1 = m\angle 2\\\therefore 44x + 1 = 46x - 1\\\therefore 1 + 1 = 46x - 44x\\\therefore 2 = 2x\\\therefore \frac{2}{2} = x \\\huge \red {\boxed {\therefore x = 1}}

In the second figure, VP is the bisector of \angle XVW

\therefore m\angle 1 = m\angle 2\\\therefore 12x + 2 = 11x +6\\\therefore 12x - 11x = 6 - 2\\\therefore x  = 4\\\because m\angle XVW = m\angle1 + m\angle 2\\\therefore m\angle XVW = 12x + 2 + 11x +6\\\therefore m\angle XVW = 23x + 8\\\therefore m\angle XVW = 23\times 4+ 8\\\therefore m\angle XVW = 92+ 8\\\huge \purple {\boxed {\therefore m\angle XVW = 100\degree}} \\

What is the sum? 3 over x + 4 over x^2
Tcecarenko [31]
We want denominator to be common, so GCD is x².

3 / x  +  4 / x²   =    3x / x² + 4 / x²

Now we got common denominator. so we can combine them.

3x / x² + 4 / x²     =     (3x + 4) / x²

So the answer is C, (3x + 4) / x<span>²</span>
