Interesting question. There are two places you could put the parenthesis. We will look at both of them.
Place one
7 - (2*3) + 6 = 7 Answer
This tells you to multiply the 2 and 3 together before doing anything else. It also makes clear what to do with the 2 and 3 and what to put with whom.
7- 6 + 6 = 7. Now it's clear what to do
1 + 6 = 7
7 = 7
Place Two
7 - 3*2 + 6 = 7
(7 - 3*2) + 6 = 7
7 - 6 + 6 = 7
1 + 6 = 7
7 = 7
There are other ways to do this, but the two I've given you are fail safe.

x/x + 4 requires brackets everytime you list something like this. What does it mean?
Does it mean exactly what is written, so that the answer is
1 + 4 = 5?
Usually not. It usually means x / (x + 4). If I see the question written the first way, I just move onto the next question. So study what brackets do very carefully.
