U would multiply 5/8 and -120/1 and you should get -600/8 but u have to make it into a mixed number which would be 75.

Answer: -75\text{ feet}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The elevation of a sunken ship is -120 feet.

Also, Your Elevation is \dfrac{5}{8} of the ship's elevation.

Then by using the MULTIPLICATION OPERATION, your elevation will be given by :-

\dfrac{5}{8}\times -120\text{ feet}=-75\text{ feet}

Hence, your elevation is -75\text{ feet}

For ONE flap: 20in x 12in= 240in
Multiply by 4 to get the area of all the flaps: 240in x 4 flaps= 960in^2

Add: 400+960= 1360in^2

Write the percent shown by each model. Explain your reasoning.
Sphinxa [80]
A) 1/3=33 1/3%
B) 2/3=66 2/3%
C) 1/6=16 2/3%

A) YOU CAN TURN THE FRACTION 1/3 INTO A DECIMAL WHICH WILL BE AROUND 0.333. THEN YOU TURN THE DECIMAL INTO A PERCENT. YOU CAN MOVE THE DECIMAL TWO PLACES TO THE RIGHT. THAT GIVES YOU 33.3% OR 33 1/3% THIS ALSO APPLIES TO B BUT WITH 0.666 AND 66.6%

FOR C, YOU DO THE SAME. 1/6 AS A DECIMAL IS 1.666. YOU MOVE THE DECIMAL TWO PLACES TO THE RIGHT. 16.6% OR 16 2/3%

For this case we have:

Expression 1:

\frac {2m ^ 2-4m} {2 (m-2)} = \frac {2m (m-2)} {2 (m-2)} = m

Expression 2:

\frac {m ^ 2-2m + 1} {(m-1)} = \frac {(m-1) (m-1)} {(m-1)} = (m-1)

Expression 3:

\frac {m ^ 2-3m + 2} {m ^ 2-m} = \frac {(m-2) (m-1)} {m (m-1)} = \frac {(m-2) } {m}

Expression 4:

\frac {m ^ 2-m-2} {m ^ 2-1} = \frac {(m-2) (m + 1)} {(m + 1) (m-1)} = \frac {( m-2)} {(m-1)}

Answer:
