The correct answer is: b. the removal of introns and alternative splicing of exons

Post-transcriptional regulation includes processes of regulation between transcription and translation such as RNA splicing, capping, addition of poly-A tail, RNA editing.

RNA splicing represents the process of RNA processing in which newly synthesized pre-mRNA transcript is converted into a mature mRNA. This process occurs only in eukaryotic organism and includes the removal of introns and joining together the exons. RNA splicing might occur during or immediately after transcription and it is performed by spliceosome (complex of small nuclear ribonucleo proteins).

Alternative splicing is a regulated process in which a single gene can code for multiple proteins because particular exons of a gene may be included within or excluded from the final mRNA.

Four groups of students plan scientific investigations to answer four questions for the science fair. Which question would most
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

The question is incomplete, the questions asked by the students were as follows:

1. What kind of plant life grows naturally in the town park?

2. Which types of treats do different types of dogs like best?

3. Do different types of grass affect how far a ball rolls?

4. How are the chemicals in different vegetables similar?

The answer is 3

Explanation:

Three types of investigation are used by scientists to solve a problem or answer a question. These questions are: comparative investigation, descriptive investigation and experimental investigation. Experimental investigations are conducted to test the relationship between two variables. In the test, one of the variable is manipulated (independent variable) while the other responds (dependent variable).

In this case involving questions asked for a science fair, HOW DIFFERENT TYPES OF GRASS AFFECT BALL ROLLS is most likely an experimental investigation because it is testing the effects of grass type (independent variable) on ball roll (dependent variable).

Shtirlitz [24]
A 3-base deletion in the AAUAAA sequence in the 3' untranslated region of an mRNA that eliminates the AAU, thereby preventing RNA polymerase from polyadenylation the mRNA would have the effect of; decreasing the number copies of the polyeptide that would be translated from this mRNA. A deletion is a mutation in which a part of a chromosome or a sequence of DNA is lost during DNA replication.

Which of the following is not a characteristic of Arthropods that has attributed to their diversity and success?
stiv31 [10]
A. endoskeleton

Endoskeleton is not a characteristic of Arthropods that has attributed to their diversity and success. Endoskeleton is defined as inner characteristics of the skeletal feature of an organisms such as bears, humans, fish and etc.

Exoskeleton on the other hand is the trait by which arthropods posses. It is skeletal feature that is described outside or is extrinsic, this is evident as crabs have their skeletons outside of their body.
