When comparing the direct write-off and allowance methods, which of the following statements applies to the allowance method? a.
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

c.The result is based on either a percentage of sales or an analysis of receivables

Explanation:

Generally, companies will choose between two approaches under the allowance method.

Percentage of Sales: Using historical data, a company examines the relationship between sales and uncollectible accounts receivable. If there is a fairly stable relationship between the two, a company will use the historical Uncollectible Accounts / Credit Sales ratio to estimate the bad debts expense in the current period.

This method is sometimes referred to as the income statement approach.

Percentage of Accounts Receivable: Using historical data, a company examines the relationship between accounts receivable and uncollectible accounts. Companies will oftentimes increase the accuracy of these estimates by looking at their aging schedule for patterns, rather than using a composite (or total) of their receivables

This method is sometimes referred to as the balance sheet approach

Some experts believe that early childhood education programs should focus on both cognitive development and ______ development i
Andreyy89

Some experts believe that early childhood education programs should focus on both cognitive development and socio-emotional development in order to meet all of a child's needs.

What is socio-emotional development?

 • The child's ability to build positive and fulfilling relationships with others as well as their emotional experience, expression, and control are all part of social-emotional development.
 • Both internal and external processes are part of it.
 • The five fundamental abilities that make up social and emotional learning in schools are self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
 • These competencies are regarded as the cornerstone upon which all other relationship competencies can be constructed.
 • Here are some examples of how social and emotional skills are put to use: seeing someone else is unhappy and asking them if they're okay.
 • Comprehending one's own ideas and feelings as well as the capacity to relate to others, and expressing oneself in various ways with friends than with parents.

Therefore, experts think that early childhood education programs should emphasize both cognitive development and socio-emotional development in order to address all of a child's requirements.
