Firstly it meant a great expansion of British territorial claims in the new world. moreover the war generated substantial resenment towards the colonists among English leaders who where not satisfied with the financial and military help they had received from the colonists during the war . all these factors combined to persuade many English leaders that the colonies needed a major reorganization and that the central authority should be in London.

Why were Puritans considered a political threat to the king's power in England?
igomit [66]
Puritans were strict Protestants who wanted to 'purify' the Church and get rid of all traces of the Catholic faith. Many had fled abroad when Mary I, a Catholic, was queen, but had started to return when Elizabeth, a Protestant, came to the throne.

What do you think that there is a bias in the media? Why or why not?
Ket [755]

Answer:

There is without a doubt a bias in the media. This is because there are corporate interests on both sides of the political spectrum. The cable news networks that dominate the airwaves today such as CNN and Fox News both show intense bias due to the ideas of the people who run these networks. Unfortunately, truly unbiased media is very rare these days.

What determines the length of the Mesolithic period?
ryzh [129]

Answer:

In Old World archaeology, Mesolithic (Greek: μέσος, mesos "middle"; λίθος, lithos "stone") is the period between the Upper Paleolithic and the Neolithic. The term Epipaleolithic is often used synonymously, especially for outside northern Europe, and for the corresponding period in the Levant and Caucasus. The Mesolithic has different time spans in different parts of Eurasia. It refers to the final period of hunter-gatherer cultures in Europe and Western Asia, between the end of the Last Glacial Maximum and the Neolithic Revolution. In Europe it spans roughly 15,000 to 5,000 BP; in Southwest Asia (the Epipalaeolithic Near East) roughly 20,000 to 8,000 BP. The term is less used of areas further east, and not at all beyond Eurasia and North Africa.
