Answer:

10x=\frac{1}{2}(x+3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x------> the number

we know that

The expression

"Ten times a number, x" ----->represent 10x

"one-half the sum of the number and three" ----->represent \frac{1}{2}(x+3)

therefore

The complete expression represent

10x=\frac{1}{2}(x+3)

Given a number "x"
ten times this number is : 10x
one-half  the sum of the number and three= 1/2(x+3)

Therefore:
The equation will be:
10x=1/2(x+3)

20x=x+3
20x-x=3
19x=3
x=3/19

Answer: the equation is :    10x=1/2(x+3) and the number is 3/19.

Can u help me with this problem 1/2+-2/5t-1=1/5t+t
Temka [501]
1/2+-2/5t(+2/5)=1/5t+t(+2/5)
simplify
1/2=2 and 3/5t
change to a decimal
.5 = 2.6t
divide both sides by 2.6
.5/2.6 2.6t/2.6
you get T= .3125

The world's most powerful tugboats are built in Finland. One of these boats can do 9.8 × 107 J of work through a distance of 35
kkurt [141]
<span>2.8 x 10^6 N We have 9.8 x 10^7 J or 9.8 x 10^7 kg*m^2/s^2 of work done through a distance of 35 meters. Since work is defined as force over distance, that means that: F * 35m = 9.8 x 10^7 kg*m^2/s^2 Solving for F, gives F * 35m = 9.8 x 10^7 kg*m^2/s^2 F = 9.8 x 10^7 kg*m^2/s^2 / 35m F = 2.8 x 10^6 kg*m/s^2 F = 2.8 x 10^6 N So the force exerted by the tugboat is 2.8x10^6 Newtons.</span>

Please help me right away. There are 2 problems.
koban [17]

For #6;

We know that there are 46% male students and 30% of them are seniors. This means that we have to assume that 30% of the male students are seniors and that 30% of the female students are seniors. Taking 30% of 46% gives us 13.8%.

For #7;

We are looking for the possibility that we choose a junior student (22%) or a sophomore student (28%). This adds up to 50% (22%+28% = 50%). That is out answer.
