Answer:

The actual velocity of the canoe is 17 mi/hr in downward direction.

Explanation:

It is given that,

Velocity of canoe, v_c=5\ mi/hr (downstream)

Velocity of stream, v_s=12\ mi/hr

We need to find the actual velocity of the canoe. Let it is equal to v. As it is clear that both velocities are in same direction. So, the actual velocity of the canoe is given by the sum of velocity of canoe and the stream.

v=v_c+v_s

v=5+12

v = 17 mi/hr

Since, the velocity is positive. It means it is in downstream direction. So, the correct option is (d) "17 mi/hr, downstream".

How remote sensing works and why it is important in cartography
AleksandrR [38]

Advanced technologies like remote sensing have modified the way by which maps are constructed. Remote sensing is the procedure of collecting information about Earth with the help of instruments mounted on airplanes, satellites, or ships.

Remote sensing helps in monitoring and detecting the physical features of a region by determining its emitted and reflected radiation at a distance from the targeted region. Unique or specialized camera gather remotely sensed pictures of the Earth that assists the researchers in sensing the things about the Earth.

HELP I NEED A SCIENTIFIC MODEL AND PARAGHRAPH ABOUT ATOMIC THEROY WILL GIVE BRANLIEST AND POINTS
saveliy_v [14]

Atomic Theory:

Introduction

The atomic theory of Atoms Summed up is the idea that all matter is made of tiny particles that are imperceptible to the mortal eye; these particles are named Atoms

Paragraph 1:

John Dalton was the first to consider that all matter was made of tiny particles known as atoms. He invented the idea that matter is formed of atoms varying in weight.

Paragraph 2:

I created this model of the dissimilarities between three kinds of matter-- solids, liquids, and gases. The distance between atoms in each state tells us what type of matter we observe.

The End.
