Answer:

\frac{7}{15} of the circle is shaded.

Step-by-step explanation:

Circle Consists of 3 parts.

First part is the shaded part.

Now Given:

Portion of Second part = \frac{1}{5}

Also Given:

Portion of Third part = \frac{1}{3}

We need to find the portion of shaded part.

Solution:

We know that 1 whole circle is divided in 3 parts.

So Portion of shaded part will be equal to 1 circle minus Portion of Second part minus Portion of third part.

framing in equation form we get;

Portion of shaded part = 1-\frac{1}{5}-\frac{1}{3}

Now taking LCM for making the denominator common we get;

Portion of shaded part =\frac{1\times15}{15}-\frac{1\times3}{5\times3}-\frac{1\times5}{3\times5} = \frac{15}{15} - \frac{3}{15}-\frac{5}{15} = \frac{15-3-5}{15} = \frac{7}{15}

Hence We can say that \frac{7}{15} of the circle is shaded.

Prove the following relations: <br>1) (1 - cos²A) (1 + tan²A) = tan²A
liberstina [14]

Step-by-step explanation:

(1 - cos²A) (1 + tan²A) = tan²A

(sin²A)(sec²A) = tan²A

(sin²A)(1/cos²A) = tan²A

(sin²A)/(cos²A) = tan²A

tan²A = tan²A → <u>Proved</u>

Multiply the expression
user100 [1]

Answer:

-26.

Step-by-step explanation:

4 * 2 * (-3) + (-10) / 5

Deal with the parentheses first  (PEMDAS).

= 4 * 2 * -3 - 10 / 5

Now the multiplications and divisions:

= 8 * -3 - 2

= -24 - 2

= -26.

Simplify:7^x+2-9.7^x/20*7^x
ycow [4]

Given:

The expression is:

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}

To find:

The simplified form of the given expression.

Solution:

We have,

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}

It can be written as

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}=\dfrac{7^{x}\cdot 7^{2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}=\dfrac{7^{x}(49-9)}{-20\times 7^x}

Cancel out the common factors.

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}=\dfrac{40}{-20}

\dfrac{7^{x+2}-9\cdot 7^x}{-20\times 7^x}=-2

Therefore, the simplified value of the given expression is -2.
