earnstyle [38]

Most northerners considered John Brown a hero of antislavery and bombarded the prison where he was convicted and hanged.

Who was John Brown?

John Brown was an activist who terminated the slavery movement prior to the beginning of the American Civil war. He was also known for initiating an unsuccessful raid at Harper's Ferry on the federal arsenal.

John Brown started an anti-slavery act in Canada in May 1958 which was supported by both black and white people. After the abolition of the slavery movement by him, many northerners treated him as a hero and his reputation was also getting high. He also fought against the killing of Kansas.

Therefore, after the conviction and hanging of John Brown, he was still considered a hero in the eyes of many of the notherners.

How dd the approach to government of Harding and Coolidge differ from that of the progressives?
ANTONII [103]
The correct answer is that they tried to take a more traditional laissez - faire approach. This means they were more libertarian towards business owners which was uncommon for the progressive era since most business related legislature during the progressive era was about reducing the power of the company owners. They admired the productive manufacturers who advanced the industry and wanted to make the economy based around them and gave them more rights to do as they wished.
