The sequence is geometric because we multiply by the same number each time to get the next term. In this case, we multiply by 1/2 = 0.5 to get the next term.

first term = 64

second term = 0.5*(first term) = 0.5*64 = 32

third term = 0.5*(second term) = 0.5*32 = 16

fourth term = 0.5*(third term) = 0.5*16 = 8

and so on

The sequence of values would be

64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1

Since we're talking about a number of teams, it doesn't make sense to keep going after 1 (since we can't have half a team).

Simplify -12.5 - (-4.8)
Elan Coil [88]

Answer: -17.5

Step-by-step explanation:Use this rule:

1. -a-b=-(a+b)−a−b=−(a+b).

-(12.5+4.8)−(12.5+4.8)

2.Use the algorithm method.

1

1 2 . 5

+  4 . 8

1 7 . 3

3.After simplification, we have:

-(12.5+4.8)=-17.3−(12.5+4.8)=−17.3

4. Therefore, -12.5-4.8=-17.3−12.5−4.8=−17.3.

-17.3−17.3

PLS HELP ASAP If -2 is added to each of the x and y intercepts of the line 3x + 2y = 6, find the new equation of the line
ella [17]

Answer:

3x + 2y = -4

Step-by-step explanation:

x intercept of the line occurs at y = 0

Given the equation 3x+2y = 6

3x+2(0) = 6

3x  = 6

x = 2

The x intercept is at (2, 0)

Adding -2 to each axis will give (2-2, 0-2) = (0, -2)

y intercept of the line occurs at x = 0

Given the equation 3x+2y = 6

3(0)+2y = 6

2y  = 6

y =3

The x intercept is at (0, 3)

Adding -2 to each axis will give (0-2, 3-2) = (-2, 1)

The new coordinates are (0, -2 and (-2, 1)

Using the point slope form of the equation y - y0 = m(x-x0)

slope m = y2-y1/x2-x1

m = 1-(-2)/-2-0

m = 1+2/-2

m = -3/2

Using m = -3/2 and (0, -2)

y - (-2) = -3/2(x-0)

y+2 = -3/2 x

2(y+2) = -3x

2y+4 = -3x

-3x-2y = 4

3x + 2y = -4

Hence the required equation is 3x + 2y = -4
