Answer:

260.71 words per minute and 52.142 pages per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

A book has an average of 300 words per page.

you read one page in 68 seconds.

So, you read per second = \frac{300}{68} words

you read per minute = \frac{300}{68} × 60

                                  = 260.705882 ≈ 260.71 words/minute.

As we know 1 minute = 60 seconds

and 1 hour = 60 minutes

∵ in one minute 260.71 words

∴ in one hour = 260.71 × 60 = 15,642.6 words.

One page has 300 words

∴ 15,642.6 words =  \frac{15642.6}{300}

                             = 52.142 pages/hour.

Your reading rate 260.71 words per minute and 52.142 pages per hour.

Okay, here is how i got my answer. i divided 300 by 1.08 because 68 seconds translates to 1 minute and 8 seconds. I got 277.77 repeated but you can round it to 278. This is a rate so you might wanna write it like this: 277/minute

Last year, Bob's Auto Supplies sold 120 air filters out of a total of 3000 items sold. Bob will show his sales in a circle graph
german
Assuming that bob will use a circle with radius 1 unit,
then the area of the whole circle is A = pi R^2
A = 3.1416(1^2)
A = 3.1416

fraction of auto supplies = 120 / 3000 = 0.04
Area auto supplies = 3.1415(0.04) = 0.1257

formula for of a circular segment
A = 0.5r^2x
where x is the angle in radian
0.1257 = 0.5(1^2)x
x = 0.2513 rad
convert to degrees
x = 0.2513 rad ( 180 /pi)
x = 14.40 degrees

How to solve this question
ryzh [129]
I can tell you how to solve this problem.
You can find the areas using both the values as the radiuses (find the are of a circle).
Subtract the smaller area from the larger area and there is your answer.
Hope this helped.
Good Luck!
