Replication

Explanation:

The process through DNA makes an exact copy of itself is known as replication. During reproduction organism passes its genetic information to its young ones by replicating and transferring the DNA. During replication, the double helix unwinds and the base pair separate. On the parent strand, enzymes move and read the bases and thereby produce a copy of it.  

The strands of DNA re-twist and produce two daughter molecules.
