Let x = the amount of time that the third person needs to work on the job to add up to one

1 = 1/2 + 1/3 + x

1 - 1/2 - 1/3 = x

To subtract the fractions we need to put them all over a common denominator. Let's use 3*2 = 6 as the denominator; so 1 = 6/6, 1/2 = 3/6, 1/3 = 2/6:

6/6 - 3/6 - 2/6 = x

1/6 = x

The third person must work 1/6 time on the project.

Layla requires 2.25 pounds of cream cheese for a cake. She has 4 ounces of cream cheese. Cream cheese is available in the store
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

4 blocks of cream cheese

Step-by-step explanation:

there are 16 Ounces in a pound.

You have 4 ounces of cream cheese.  4 is 25% of 16 so we subtract .25 from the required amount which is 2.25.

NOW we need 2 pounds. well, each block is 8 ounces, and we need in total 32 ounces. 32/8=4 blocks

we know angle RLP= 100⁰

also

angle RLP+ angle RLB=180⁰(Linear pair)

=>100⁰+angleRLB= 180⁰

=> angle RLB=80⁰

since BR and LR are equal, angle RBL and angle RLB are equal

therefore angle RBL is also equal to 80⁰

using angle sum property of triangles we know that the sum of all angles in a triangle is equal to 180⁰

=>angle BRL+angle RBL+angle RLB= 180⁰

=> angle BRL+80⁰+80⁰=180⁰

=>angle BRL = 180⁰-160⁰

=>angle BRL= 20⁰

Answer:

square roots

quadratic formula

factoring

complete the square

Step-by-step explanation:

1. In the first one, we can divide both sides by -2 and then square root it, getting x^2 = -98 so x = 7i \sqrt(2).

2. We can use the quadratic formula to find out the second one.

3. We can factor 4x^2 - 21x - 18 = 0 and get (x + 6)(4x - 3).

4. In the last one, we can complete the square, getting (x + 9)^2 + 16.
