More details are required to answer the question.

The K-t boundary or the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary signifies the beginning of the Tertiary and the end of the Cretaceous; sixty-five million years ago. The boundary can be observed in various locations across the globe and is a relatively thin layer of dust sediments with an abnormally high amount of iridium.
Iridium is a rare earth element and is only found in large amounts in asteroids. This knowledge led scientists to conclude that the debris deposited was caused by a massive asteroid impact.
The impact crater was eventually located and was found just of the coast of the Yucatan peninsula. The asteroid was over ten miles in diameter and this impact was thought to be instrumental in the extinction of the dinosaurs.

What is prokaryote and eukaryote? give there characteristic .
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer & Explanation:

Prokaryote: a microscopic single-celled organism that has neither a distinct nucleus with a membrane nor other specialized organelles. Prokaryotes include the bacteria and cyanobacteria.

Characteristic of prokaryote: lack an organized nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Prokaryotic DNA is found in a central part of the cell called the nucleoid. The cell wall of a prokaryote acts as an extra layer of protection, helps maintain cell shape, and prevents dehydration.

Eukaryote: an organism consisting of a cell or cells in which the genetic material is DNA in the form of chromosomes contained within a distinct nucleus. Eukaryotes include all living organisms other than the eubacteria and archaebacteria.

Characteristic of eukaryote: larger than prokaryotic cells and have a “true” nucleus, membrane-bound organelles, and rod-shaped chromosomes. The nucleus houses the cell's DNA and directs the synthesis of proteins and ribosomes
