a) dry cell- they convert chemical energy into electrical energy thus producing electricity. They use an electrolyte paste for materials like zinc with either manganese or carbon to react within the battery and the electrical energy is produced.
b) Daniell cell- it coverts chemical energy into electrical energy by using copper and zinc electrodes dipped in their respective electrolyte. Using electrolysis the energy is converted.
c)NiCd ( Nickel Cadmium) cell- this type of cell is rechargeable and it also converts chemical energy into electrical energy upon discharge during electrolysis and it can also covert electrical energy into chemical energy upon recharge.
