7n-6 = 42-9
7n-6 = 33
7n = 33-6
7n = 27
n = 27/7

Hey i need help! no stupid answers!
Ahat [919]
Your first equation would be:
65 + 3x - 10 + 2x = 180
Then simplify to get:
5x + 55 = 180
Subtract 55 from each side:
5x = 125
Now divide by 5 to find x:
x = 25

The measure of angle B = 65
The measure of angle C = 50

Hope this helps!! :)

Identify the "inside function" u = f(x) and the "outside function" y = g(u). Then find dy/dx using the Chain Rule.
skad [1K]
DfLet f(x)=\sec x and g(x)=\sqrt x. Then

y=\sec\sqrt x=\sec(g(x))=f(g(x))=f\circ g(x)

By the chain rule,

\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm du}\dfrac{\mathrm du}{\mathrm dx}

where u=g(x)=\sqrt x, so that y=f(g(x))=f(u)=\sec u. We have

\dfrac{\mathrm du}{\mathrm dx}=\dfrac1{2\sqrt x}
\dfrac{\mathrm d\sec u}{\mathrm du}=\sec u\tan u

and so

\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=\sec u\tan u\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm du}=\dfrac{\sec\sqrt x\,\tan\sqrt x}{2\sqrt x}

5. The graph of g(x) is narrower. Both graphs open upward. The vertex of g(x), (0,10), is translated 10 units up from the vertex of f(x) at (0,0)

6. The graph of g(x) is wider. Both graphs open upward. The vertex of g(x), (0,-3) is translated 3 units down from the vertex of f(x) at (0,0)

7.The graph of g(x) is narrower. g(x) opens downward and f(x) opens upward. The vertex of g(x), (0,8) is translated 8 units up from the vertex of f(x) at (0,0).

8. The graph of g(x) is wider. g(x) opens downward and f(x) opens upward. The vertex of g(x), (0,1/4) is translated 1/4 units up from the vertex of f(x) at (0,0).

How is the Distributive Property used to simplify operations with scientific notation
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a,b, and c be real numbers.

The distributive property says that:

a(b + c) = ab + ac

Assuming we want to simplify:

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3})

We apply the distributive property to get:

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*10^{-1} \times 10+150*10^{-3} \times 10

We can now use rules of exponents to simplify further:

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*10^{-1} \times 10^{1} +150*10^{-3} \times 10^{1}

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*10^{-1 + 1} +150*10^{-3 + 1}

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*10^{0} +150*10^{-2}

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*1+1.50*10^{-2}x {10}^{2}

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5*1+1.50*10^{-2 + 2}

10(5*10^{-1}+150*10^{-3}) = 5+1.50*10^{0} = 6.5 \times  {10}^{0}
