Angela, a 53-year-old woman from Westborough, woke up one autumn day with intense pain on her left abdominal area. Assuming it w

as just a muscle spasm, she took a NSAID and went about her day as usual. Throughout that day, and several days after, she continued to feel this stabbing pain. About a week after the pain began, she noticed that a large red and blistery rash had developed on the area where she felt pain. At times, the rash felt very itchy and she felt a burning sensation. This made Angela very concerned. At that point, she decided to go to the urgent care clinic near her home. The physician performed an intensive physical exam, examining the rash and seeing if it had spread to other parts of her body. The physician also asked Angela about her medical history, asking specific questions about any previous infections she had and what vaccines had she received. The physician then passed a swab across the blisters and sent it out for testing. Angela is still awaiting the results. Identify three remarkable signs/symptoms and use at least one proper clinical term.

Answer:

The three remarkable symptoms or signs of the mentioned condition, that is, shingles is muscle aches, blistery rash, and weakness. The most general sign of shingles is an excruciating rash, which typically appears on one body side.

The rashes seems to appear in a certain arrangement, and majorly on the trunk section. It is also considered as shingles band because of the appearance of a stripy pattern. The occurrence of rash may begin as red patches, however, it varies with time, and builds into fluid-occupied blisters. These blisters may exude. The formation of rash may also take place on other parts of the body like face.

Charles should consume 5 ounces of protein/week on his 1800-kcalorie diet. What are some of the protein foods should he be limit
timama [110]

Some of the protein foods he should be limiting in his diet are the high diet proteins.

Sources of Protein

Protein is one of the major nutrients in the body that helps to repair worn out tissues and assist in body building.

Charles consumes 5 ounce of protein in one week,

That is ,

1 ounce = 28.35 g,

5 ounce = xg

xg = 5 × 28.45

= 141g

But 1 g of proteins gives 4 kcal energy ( this is a constant value)

xg = 1800kcal

cross multiple

xg = 1800/4

Xg = 450g

From the calculation above, Charles should be taking 141g of protein in a week but his dietary plan contains 450g pre week. This means that he should limit protein intake in his diets.

Therefore high protein food items such as meat, fish, egg and milk should be limited.
