Answer:

Where it says "add attachment" with the paper clip, select your picture from there. If you don't know how to do that, take a picture of it with your phone, email it to yourself, and download it on your computer. It should then be in a folder called "downloads" or something similar. Feel free to ask further questions if you're still stuck!

A publisher reports that 55% of their readers own a laptop. A marketing executive wants to test the claim that the percentage is
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

We fail to reject the null hypothesis, we accept H₀

Step-by-step explanation:

Population proportion        p₀   =  55 %    p₀   =  0,55

Sample  size         n  =  280

Sample mean     p =  51 %            p =  0,51       q = 0,49

n*p   and  n*q   are both bigger than 10 therefore we can approximate the binomial distribution to a normal distribution

Test  Hypothesis

Null Hypothesis                             H₀                   p   =  p₀

Alternative Hypothesis                Hₐ                    p   ≠  p₀

Significance level is  α  = 0,05    but we have a two-tail test then

α/2  =  0,025

z(c)  =  - 1,96

Computing  z(s)

z(s)  =  ( p - p₀ ) / √(p*q)/n

z(s)  =  ( 0,51 - 0,55 ) / √(0,51*0,49)/280

z(s)  =  - 0,04 * 16,73 / 0,5

z(s)  =  -  1,34

Comparing

z(s)   and z(c)

- 1,34    <    - 1,96

| z(s) | < | z(c)|

Then z(s) is in the acceptance region,  we accept H₀

Hank was watching the winter Olympics and was amazed at the distance the ski jumpers were able to travel. By looking at their posture in flight Hank was able to determine how they stayed in the air for so long. How does body posture affect flight in ski jumping?

Bending the knees keeps the body tucked for better distance

Holding the arms away from the body allows for better balance and further distance

Leaning backward and more upright increases the chance to ride a thermal

Leaning forward with the head close to the tips of the skis allows for better aerodynamics

The measure of angle 1 is 125 degrees what is the measure of angle 2?
Fantom [35]
Angles 1 is equal to angle 3. Together they add up to 250 degrees. All four angle have to add up to 360. So you do 360 - 250 to get 110 = angle 2 + angle 4. Since 2 and 4 are equal, you have to divide In half to get 55. Angle 2 = 55
