Answer:

OPTION D

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{8}{7} =\frac{168}{X}\\8=\frac{168*7}{X} \\\\X=\frac{168*7}{8} \\X=147

147 because 8 x 21 =168 which means you have to multiply 7 by 21 which equals 147

Answer:

Pretend that H is the midpoint of AB, connect O and H

=> OH is the median of ΔOAB

Since we know that OA = OB => ΔOAB is an isosceles triangle

=> OH is also the height of ΔOAB

=> ∠OBA = ∠OAB = (180° - ∠AOB)/2 = (180° - 120°)/2 = 60°/2 = 30°

Now look at ΔOHB (that you create by connecting O and H)

We have:

cos30° = BH/OB

=> BH = cos30° · OB = √3/2 · x = (√3 x)/2

Because we have H as the midpoint of AB, we know that:

AB = 2 · BH = 2 · (√3 x)/2 = √3 x

So the answer is B

April can mow 3/8 of an acre of grass in 45 minutes. How many acres of grass does April mow per hour?
Ulleksa [173]
April mows 4/8 of an acre of grass per hour
I got this answer because I divided 45÷3 and got 15. So, I know that 15×4=60 and in minutes that equals a hour. I changed 3/8 to 4/8 since it was multiplying 4×15 instead of 3×15.

1)Which statement is true about the line passing through points A and B?
Studentka2010 [4]
Part 1:
The statement that is true about <span>the line passing through points A and B is
</span><span>The line has infinitely many points.
</span>
<span>Beacause of the arrows at the endpoints, the line does not have a finite length that can be measured.

</span><span><span>Any segment with at least two points has infinitely many points, because, intuitively, given any two distinct points, there is a third one, distinct from both of them, say, the middle point.
Thus, t</span>here are not only two points on the entire line.

The line can be called AB or BA, so there is not only one way to name the line.

</span>
Part 2:
Line FM can also be named line MF.
Therefore, the correct name for line FM is line MF.

James has just sold his motorbike for £1,890. He bought the motorbike for £2,700. What was his percentage loss? %
Usimov [2.4K]
£2.700 - £1890 = £810

<span>£ (money) -------------- percentage (%)
</span>2.700 -------------------- 100
810 ----------------------- x

2700*x = 810*100
2700x = 81000
x =  \frac{81000}{2700}
\boxed{x = 30}

Answer:
Percentage loss = 30%
