The junior class is planning a field trip to Six Flags. The cost of three busses will be $700, to be shared equally by all stude

nts attending the field trip. Because of the size of the bus, the maximum amount of students that can go on the trip is 105. Six Flags tickets cost $50 but Six Flags will reduce the ticket price by $0.50 times the number of people in the group. How many students must go on the field trip for the cost to be less than $25. To get full credit you must show your inequality and the work that leads to your solution.

Answer:Greater than 70

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Cost of three buses is $ 700

maximum no of students in group is 105

Six flag ticket cost $ 50 but will reduce the tickets cost by $ 0.50

Total cost should be less than 25 for each student

let x be the no of students thus

cost for ticket is =50x-0.5x

Bus cost =\frac{700}{x}

Total cost=\frac{700}{x}+50-0.5x

total cost must be less than $ 25

\frac{700}{x}+50-0.5x

(x+20)(x-70)>0

thus x should be greater than 70 in order to cost to be less than $ 25

Using a Line to Find a Point-Slope Equation and the Equivalent Function A coordinate grid with a line passing through the points
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

y = x/4 -1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

given coordinates : ( -2, -1 ) and ( 2 , 0 )

gradient = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

               = 0 - -1 / 2 - -2

               = 1/4

equation of line:

y - y1 = m( x - x1 )

y - 0 = 1/4 ( x - 2 )

y = x/4 -1/2

the line shown below to confirm:

HELP 100 POINTS The population of a city is modeled with the function P=250,000e^0.013t, where t is the number of years since 2
erma4kov [3.2K]
Pretty difficult problem, but that’s why I’m here.
First we need to identify what we’re looking for, which is t. So now plug 450k into equation and solve for t.
450000 = 250000e^0.013t
Now to solve this, we need to remember this rule: if you take natural log of e you can remove x from exponent. And natural log of e is 1.
Basically ln(e^x) = xln(e) = 1*x
So knowing this first we need to isolate e
450000/250000 = e^0.013t
1.8 = e^0.013t
Now take natural log of both
Ln(1.8) = ln(e^0.013t)
Ln(1.8) = 0.013t*ln(e)
Ln(1.8) = 0.013t * 1
Now solve for t
Ln(1.8)/0.013 = t
T= 45.21435 years
Now just to check our work plug that into original equation which we get:
449999.94 which is basically 500k (just with an error caused by lack of decimals)
So our final solution will be in the 45th year after about 2 and a half months it will reach 450k people.

The 59th and 4th team of an Ap are - 61 and 64 respectively. Show that the common differences is - 2.5 and 23rd term is 16.5
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

See answers below

Step-by-step explanation:

T59 = a+58d = -61

T4 = a+3d = 64.

Subtract

58d-3d = -61-64

-55d = -125

d =125/55

d = 25/11

Get a;

From 2

a+3d = 64

a+3(25/11) = 64

a = 64-75/11

a = 704-75/11

a = 629/11

T23 = a+22d

T23 = 629/11+22(25/11)

T23 = 1179/11
