“The Cremation of Sam McGee” is a poem that tells us about Sam McGee, a prospector who died on a cold Artic trail. He hated cold so he was cremated on the shores of Lake Lebarge.

About the literary devices we can say the rhyme scheme is not very regular. There is use of personification several times such as the “Arctic trails have their secret tales” There are also quite a few similes “stabbed like a driven nail.” There is hyperbole in “chilled clean through to the bone. ” and several examples of alliteration in “cursed cold” and “foul or fair.”

Answer and Explanation:

The poem "The cremation of Sam Mcgee" revolves around the theme of a freezing cold winter trip to Yukon, back in the days of the Klondike Gold Rush.

The author talks about the story of his friend, Sam McGee, who faces extreme weather and freezes to death while on the trail.

Sam McGee hated the severe cold weather and did not want to get buried in the frozen ground so he asked the speaker o dispose off his body by burning it to ashes when he dies.

So when he died, the speaker tried burning his body but instead of burning, Sam got alive because he was just frozen and needed some defrosting.

Reason why individuality is the greatest accomplishment?

Explanation:

People are restricted to projecting their personality because of external norms and social influence. Thus, as per Emerson, we understand that with yourself is "the proudest feat" and you'll have to get behind public views and accept what they say.
