2^{x+5}=3^{1-x}\ \ \ \ \ /log_2()\\\\log_22^{x+5}=log_23^{1-x}\\\\x+5=(1-x)log_23\\\\x+5=log_23-xlog_23\\\\x+xlog_23=log_23-5\\\\x(1+log_23)=log_23-5\ \ \ \ /:(1+log_23)

x=\frac{log_23-5}{1+log_23}\\-------------\\log_23\approx1.5849625\\----------------\\x\approx\frac{1.5849625-5}{1+1.5849625}\approx-1.321

2^x+5 = 3^1-x
take log on both sides
(x+5)log2=(1-x)log3
0.3010(x+5) = (1-x)0.4771
0.3010x + 1.5050 = 0.4771 - 0.4771x
0.7781x= -1.0279
x=-1.320

How many band uniforms can be made with 131 3/4 yards of fabric if each uniform requires 3 7/8 yards
ElenaW [278]
The question can be read as how many 3 \frac{7}{8} can be made out of 131 \frac{3}{4}

131 \frac{3}{4}÷3 \frac{7}{8} ⇒ We need to change each mixed number into an improper fraction

131 \frac{3}{4}= \frac{[131*4]+3}{4}= \frac{527}{4}
3 \frac{7}{8}= \frac{[3*8]+7}{8}  = \frac{31}{8}

\frac{527}{4}÷\frac{31}{8}
\frac{527}{4}×\frac{8}{31}
\frac{527*8}{4*31}= \frac{4216}{248} =17

Determine the point estimate of the population proportion, the margin of error for the following confidence interval, and the
PilotLPTM [1.2K]

Answer:

point of estimate p = x/n

Step-by-step explanation:

p is the point estimate for the population , x is the number of success, n is the sample size.

p = Upper bound  + Lower bond/ 2      for population proportion

x = Upper bond + Lower bond /2          for population mean

E = Upper bond - Lower bond /2          E is margin of error

two friends share 1/4 gallon of lemonade equally. What fraction of the gallon of lemonade does each friend get?
Inga [223]
Since there are two people sharing 1/4 a gallon of lemonade, we need to divide 1/4 by 2:

1/4 / 2 = 1/8

Each friend gets 1/8 gallon of lemonade.

Hope this helps!
