If a + b + c = -2 and x + y = 10,<br> what is -9a + 2x - 9b - 9c + 2y?
MaRussiya [10]
38
because since all abc and xy have the same coefficients it makes it easier.
i just made a=-2, b=-4,and c=4 because when added up it equals -2
i also made both x and y =5 becasue when added up it equals 10
so, -9(-2)+2(5)-9(-4)-9(4)+2(5)
18+10+36-36+10=38

Water has a density of 1.00g/cm^3 per cubic centimeter. What is the mass of half a liter of water?
anygoal [31]

Answer:

The mass of half a liter of water is 500g, that is, 0.5kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

Density is mass divided by the volume, that is:

d = \frac{m}{v}

Here, we have to be careful. Since the density is in grams per cm³, m has to be in grams and v in cm³.

We have that:

d = 1

What is the mass of half a liter of water?

One liter is 1000 cm³.

So half a liter is 1000/2 = 500 cm³, which means that v = 500

Then

d = \frac{m}{v}

1 = \frac{m}{500}

m = 500

The mass of half a liter of water is 500g, that is, 0.5kg.
