I will pick the age of 15 years old.
According to the psychosexual theory of personality development of Freud, a person who is 15 years old is at the genital stage, which is also the last stage. At this stage, people are past the beginning of puberty, and have begun sexual experimentation. This stage includes other people besides yourself.
According to the psychosocial stage of development of Erikson, a fifteen-year-old would be at the identity vs. role confusion stage. This is the stage where people question who they are, and what their purpose in life is. They also explore their role within society at large.
According to the theory of cognitive development of Piaget, a fifteen-year-old would be at the formal operational stage. This is the last stage of cognitive development, and is characterised by the use of symbols that relate to abstract concepts. It also involves the use of hypothetical and deductive reasoning.
Finally, according to the stages of moral development of Kohlberg, fifteen-year-olds should be located at the universal-ethical-principal orientation stage. At this stage, the moral values that people are guided by are based on abstract reasoning that uses universal principles, as well as an understanding of justice.
I agree with the theories that describe the development of a fifteen-year-old. I believe that these correctly assess the qualities and characteristics of people at this stage of life, based on my experience and that of the people around me.
