3: Not really, whole numbers are being used and fractions are honestly not needed in this situation.
4: If that was the case, you most likely did your work wrong. Check back and see if you've made an error in your word problem.
Your Turn
Is it possible you can focus more on the rectangle since the numbers are hard to see? :)
It’s 2,
4(2)+6
8+6
14
I learnt this forever ago so I don’t remember how to explain it but I kinda just used the process of elimination
Y=mx+b
(-3,0)
(0,4)
Change of y / change of x
4/3
Y=4/3x-3
The flat fee would be $3 and having each ticket cost $18. You would need to set the data up as (5, 93) and (3, 57) and then using them to find the change in Y over the change in X. What I did was 93 - 57/ 5 - 3 to equal 36/2 or 18. Then you would need to substitute the information into the equation Y= mX + B. You can pick either of the data points and fill them in accordingly as I did
57=18(3)+B. After multiplying 18 and 3, you get 54, which you subtract on both sides to get B, or the flat fee to be $3. Hope this helps.
