Examine the intersection of these lines:
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

  • ∠B and ∠F
  • ∠F and ∠E . . . already listed in the problem statement, so may not be considered an "other pair"

Step-by-step explanation:

∠C and ∠F are vertical angles, so are congruent. Then any angle complementary to one of those will also be complementary to the other.

Likewise, ∠B and ∠E are vertical angles and congruent. Any angle complementary to one of them will also be complementary to the other. Here, ∠E and ∠F are listed as complementary, so we know ∠B and ∠F will be also.

Which expression is equivalent to 12*12*12*12*12*12*12*12*12*12*12<br>
ELEN [110]

Answer:

12^{11}

Step-by-step explanation:

12 has the exponent of 11

12 is the base

^11 is the exponent

since 12 is multiplied by itself 11 times, so that means we will have the exponent of 11...

final answer: 12^{11}

I hope this helps you :) ! let me know if I am incorrect or not

The defect length of a corrosion defect in a pressurized steel pipe is normally distributed with mean value 28 mm and standard d
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

14.69% probability that defect length is at most 20 mm

Step-by-step explanation:

When the distribution is normal, we use the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the zscore of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the pvalue, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

In this question, we have that:

\mu = 28, \sigma = 7.6

What is the probability that defect length is at most 20 mm

This is the pvalue of Z when X = 20. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

Z = \frac{20 - 28}{7.6}

Z = -1.05

Z = -1.05 has a pvalue of 0.1469

14.69% probability that defect length is at most 20 mm

The coordinates below represent two linear equations.
Alexxx [7]
So solve for the equations of the lines
y=mx+b
m=slope
b=y intercept

line 1=
(-4,5)
(0,2)
(x,y)
slope=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)
x1=-4
y1=5
x2=0
y2=2
subsitute
(5-2)/(-4-0)=3/-4=-3/4
slope=-3/4
subsitute
y=-3/4x+b
subsitute one of the points
(0,2)
x=0 and y=2 is one solution
2=-3/4(0)+b
2=0+b
2=b
the equation is y=-3/4x+2

other line
(0,5)
(4,2)
x1=0
y1=5
x2=4
y2=2
sybsitute
(5-2)/(0-4)=3/-4=-3/4
slope=-3/4
subsitute
y=-3/4x+b
now subsitute one of the points to solve for b
(0,5)
x=0 and y=5 is one solution
5=-3/4(0)+b
5=0+b
5=b
y=-3/4x+5

so we have the lines/equations
y=-3/4x+2 and y=-3/4x+5
(at this point we can see that since slopes are the same and the y intercepts are different, they are paralell and therefor have 0 solutions, but for those who don't know paralellline thingie read on)

solve for  common (x,y)
y=-3/4x+2
y=-3/4x+5
subsitute
-3/4x+2=y=-3/4x+5
-3/4x+2=-3/4x+5
subtract 2 from both sides
-3/4x=-3/4x+5
add 3/4x to both sides
0=5
fasle
there are no solutions

the answer is A: 0 solutions

In ΔOPQ, the measure of ∠Q=90°, PO = 97, OQ = 65, and QP = 72. What is the value of the tangent of ∠O to the nearest hundredth?
garri49 [273]

Answer: 1.11

Step-by-step explanation:

with tangent I guess A+B=C, B goes over A. But like I bet you're wondering how will yk which is a or b? idk either, but I tried my luck and got it right. So yk how C (hypotenuse) is always the biggest number? Well whichever number is bigger (A or B) the bigger number will go over the smaller one and then you round it to the nearest hundredth. I'm not good at rounding, so I used Math//way to get it for me. So it could be like , 12+36=40 (just picking random numbers), 36 will go over 12. And then you round it. I hope thus makes sense, it's 5:40AM rn. I should be sleep  because I have a job interview at 3PM today.
