The name for the material that stacks around the edges of impact craters on the moon is ejecta. Planetary geological definition says that these are particles that are ejected from formation of an impact crater. <span>According to the volcanological definition, ejecta are particles ejected from a volcanic vent that can consist of fragmented magma, free crystals, old volcanic rocks and particles from under volcanic areas.</span></span>

When a surface is illuminated with electromagnetic radiation of wavelength 480 nm, the maximum kinetic energy of the emitted ele
algol [13]

Answer:

Max kinetic energy for 340 nm wavelength will be 2.238\times 10^{-19}j

Explanation:

In first case wavelength of electromagnetic radiation \lambda =480nm=480\times 10^{-9}m

Plank's constant h=6.6\times 10^{-34}J-s

Maximum kinetic energy = 0.54 eV

Energy is given by E=\frac{hc}{\lambda }=\frac{6.6\times 10^{-34}\times 3\times 10^8}{480\times 10^{-9}}=4.125\times 10^{-19}J

We know that energy is given

E=K_{MAX}+\Phi, here \Phi is work function

So 4.125\times 10^{-19}=0.54\times 10^{-19}+\Phi

\Phi =3.585\times 10^{-19}J

Now wavelength of second radiation = 340 nm

So energy E=\frac{hc}{\lambda }=\frac{6.6\times 10^{-34}\times 3\times 10^8}{340\times 10^{-9}}=5.823\times 10^{-19}J

So K_{MAX}=5.823\times 10^{-19}-3.585\times 10^{-19}=2.238\times 10^{-19}j

An ideal blackbody is an object that __________.a. absorbs most of the energy that strikes it. b. only absorbs energy at ultravi
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

c. absorbs all the energy that strikes it.

Explanation:

<em>An ideal black body is an object that absorbs every light energy (irrespective of the wavelength and direction) that strikes it without reflecting any in return. </em>

<em>Such objects or bodies usually appear perfectly black and will only emit radiation when heated to a very high temperature.</em>

a concrete slab 20 m long and weighing 400,000 N is supported by one pillar. A 19,600 N car is parked 8 meters from one end, whe
Elden [556K]

let the distance of pillar is "r" from one end of the slab

So here net torque must be balance with respect to pillar to be in balanced state

So here we will have

Mg(r - L/2) = mg(L/2 - 8)

here we know that

mg = 19600 N

Mg = 400,000 N

L = 20 m

from above equation we have

400,000(r - 10) = 19,600 (10 - 8)

r - 10 = 0.098

r = 10.098 m

so pillar is at distance 10.098 m from one end of the slab

if a tent is touched with a finger on inner surface , when it is raining , it allows the rain water to leak through. give a reas
Nadusha1986 [10]

Explanation:

When water vapor in the air comes into contact with something cool, like the ceiling of a tent, its molecules slow down and get closer together. When that happens, the gaseous water vapor turns back into liquid water droplets. That's condensation!
