Answer:

life (N) of the specimen is 117000  cycles

Explanation:

given data

ultimate strength Su = 120 kpsi

stress amplitude σa = 70 kpsi

solution

we first calculate the endurance limit of specimen Se i.e

Se = 0.5× Su   .............1

Se = 0.5 × 120

Se = 60 kpsi

and we know strength of friction f  = 0.82

and we take endurance limit Se is = 60 kpsi

so here coefficient value (a) will be

a = \frac{(f\times Su)^2}{Se}     ......................1

put here value and we get

a = \frac{(0.82\times 120)^2}{60}

a = 161.4  kpsi

so coefficient value (b) will be

b = -\frac{1}{3}log\frac{(f\times Su)}{Se}

b =  -\frac{1}{3}log\frac{(0.82\times 120)}{60}

b = −0.0716

so here number of cycle N will be

N =  (\frac{ \sigma a}{a})^{1/b}

put here value  and we get

N =  (\frac{ 70}{161.4})^{1/-0.0716}

N = 117000

so life (N) of the specimen is 117000  cycles

Why is gymnastics often considered to be the purest of all sports or athletic activities
Pachacha [2.7K]
To my knowledge, it isn't.

But I can provide reasons to defend this statement, including how gymnastics provides many benefits to our physical and mental health. It aids us in flexibility, coordination, discipline, and more. It keeps us socially healthy and capable with teams, friends, and competitions.

The spaceship Enterprise 1 is moving directly away from earth at a velocity that an earth-based observer measures to be 0.62c. A
podryga [215]

Answer:

The answer is "0.92 c"

Explanation:

v_1\ (earth) = 0.62 \ c \\\\v_2\ ( enterprise ) = -0.30

so,

v_2 \ (earth) = 0.62 \ c - (-0.30 \ c)  \\\\

               =  0.62 \ c +0.30 \ c\\\\= 0.92 \  c

At t=0, a particle leaves the origin with a velocity of 9.0 m/s in the positive y direction and moves in the xy plane with a con
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

e.26m/s

Explanation:

Vf=Vi+at      (1)

Vf=9j+(2i-4j)t

X= X₀+at

now, in the i direction

15=O+2t or t=7.5 when x position is 15

Lets put that into the (1) equation, solve for Vf.

 Vf=9j+(2i-4j)7.5

Vf= 15i - 21j

Speed= \sqrt{xcomponent^2 + ycomponent^2}

Vf= 25.8 m/s

Density of water 1000kgper m^3 What will be the volume of 3500<br>kg water
skad [1K]

Answer:

<em>The volume of water is 3.5 cubic meter</em>

Explanation:

<u>Density </u>

The density of a substance or material is the mass per unit volume. The density varies with temperature and pressure.

The formula to calculate the density of a substance of mass (m) and volume (V) is:

\displaystyle \rho=\frac{m}{V}

We are given the density of water as \rho=1,000\ kg/m^3.It's required to find the volume of m=3,500 kg of water. Solving for V:

\displaystyle V=\frac{m}{\rho}

\displaystyle V=\frac{3,500}{1,000}

V=3.5\ m^3

The volume of water is 3.5 cubic meter

A shotputter throws the shot with an initial speed of 15.6 m/s at a 30.0 degree angle to the horizontal. Calculate the horizonta
vfiekz [6]
To calculate the horizontal distance traveled by the shot if it leaves the athlete's hand at a height of 2.20 above the ground we can get the root of the quad equation for time are t=-0.24 or t =1.84 taking the t = 1.84, so the equation will be:
x = 15.6cos(30) * 1.86, x = 24.79m
