Brown-eye genes are dominant over blue-eye genes. what is the best explanation for the fact that all the blue-eye alleles have n
Ronch [10]
Dominant genes will come before recessive. Someone with brown-eye and blue-eye genes will have brown eye since it's the dominant one. So sometimes blue -eye allele is hidden because it's not express, but not always.

People with blue eyes must have all blue-eye allele. Therefore, if there are people with blue eyes you can conclude that blue-eye allele has not disappeared in the human population.

If there is no factor that intervenes with population breeding, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium will be maintained and that can be used to explain why the all the blue-eye alleles have not disappeared in the human population

The drug colchicine inhibits the formation of spindle fibers during mitosis. If you treat dividing plant cells with colchicine,
vekshin1

Answer:

D

Explanation:

During metaphase of cell division, the chromosomes line up in the metaphase plate and the spindle fibers from the poles extend and attach to the centromeres of the chromosomes. The spindle then contracts and pull different chromosomes to the opposite poles of the cell before the parent cell divides. If spindle fibers do not form, then the chromosomes will not separate during anaphase.

Therefore, the final cell after mitosis will be a cell with double the number of chromosomes -because if you remember, during interphase, genetic material is replicated so each daughter cell can have its copy-. Due to quality control in the process of cell divisison, this cell will mostly undergo apoptosis, otherwise, it could develop into cancer.

A bird species in danger of extinction has a population that is decreasing exponentially left parenthesis upper a equals upper a
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

This will happen in 39 years.

Explanation:

The population of the birds varies as A = A.e^kt

The population of birds fell from 1400 from 1000

Time it will take for the population to fall below 100 = x years.

when t = 0, population = 1400

t= 3; Population = 1000

Therefore:

1400 = 1000e^5k

e^5k= 1400/1000

k= (In 1.4)/5

we need to find x, such that

1400/1000= (e^xk)

14=(e^xk)

In(14) =kx

x= 5In(14)/In(1.4)

x= 39 years
