Being late for work is considered bad manners and may even result in firing. A worker that is always on time is seen to be trustworthy and reliable.

To leave early for work is important because one never knows how much time one needs to arrive at the workplace. The car may not start, traffic may be bad or even stop totally because of an accident.  Diverse weather conditions can make your journey last longer as well.

One should always leave early for work and make sure to calculate the needed commuting time well in advance.
