4) x=16
Vertical angles have equal angles when two lines intersect, which they do in this case.
3x-3=2x+13
Solve for x:
x=16

5) 34 degrees
Lines AK and MJ bisect each other perpendicually, so <ADJ is 90 degrees.
4x+3x-8=90
7x-8=90
7x=98
x=14
<CDJ=3x-8
=3(14)-8
=34 degrees

Hope this helps :)

Ben and Alyssa play a game in which they earn the same number of points for each goal and lose the same number of points for eac
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

Each goal gives 5 points and a penalty costs 7 points.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a penalty cost = x points

And a goal gives = y points

Ben makes 7 goals and 2 penalties ending the game with 21 points,

7y - 2x = 21 --------(1)

Alyssa makes 10 goals and 8 penalties ending the game with (-6) points,

10y - 8x = -6

5y - 4x = -3 --------(2)

Equation (1) multiplied by 2, then subtracted from equation (2),

(5y - 4x) - 2(7y - 2x) = -3 - 2(21)

5y - 4x - 14y + 4x = -3 - 42

-9y = -45

y = 5

From equation (1)

7(5) - 2x = 21

35 - 2x = 21

2x = 35 - 21

2x = 14

x = 7

Therefore, each goal gives 5 points and a penalty costs 7 points.

The figure below shows the net of a triangular pyramid. The given height is rounded to the nearest hundredth. If all the triangl
Nataly [62]

Answer: 43.3 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Formula for Triangle: A = bh/2

Key:

* = multiple

/ = divide

Fill in the formula with what you know:

A = bh/2

A = 5 * 4.33 / 2

A= 21.65 / 2 = 10.825 square inches

However, 10.825 is not our answer. 10.825 is the area of only one triangle. Since all four of the triangles are congruent (or the same) we can:

Add: 10.825 + 10.825 + 10.825 + 10.825 = 43.3 square inches

OR

Multiple: 10.825 * 4 = 43.3 square inches

Thus, the surface area of the pyramid is 43.3 square inches.

How to convert a fraction into a mixed number in lowest terms?
saveliy_v [14]
Well at first you take the numerator (the top number) and divide it by the denominator (the lower number) that'll give you the whole number. then you would reduce only the fraction. for example lets say that we have 4/8 We know that at the very least since they are both  even numbers we can divide by so so if we do that we have 2/4 oh look, even numbers again and divide both sides by two again and you get 1/2.
