Nancy wants to make a graph to show the relationship between the temperature of water, in degrees Celsius, and the time, in minu

tes, for which water is heated. She plots the following points:
(0, 50), (1, 60), (2, 70), (3, 80), (4, 90)
She uses the following steps to plot the graph:
1. Label origin as (0, 0).
2. On x-axis, label Time in minutes.
3. On y-axis, label Temperature in degrees Celsius.
4. The scale on x-axis starts from 0 and goes up to 5 at intervals of 1.
5. The scale on the y-axis starts from 0 and goes up to 200 at intervals of 50.
Which of the following best describes the graph? (1 point)

It will not be spread out horizontally across the entire coordinate plane because in Step 4, Nancy selected an incorrect scale on the x-axis.

It will not be spread out vertically across the entire coordinate plane because in Step 5, Nancy selected an incorrect scale on the y-axis.

It will not be spread out horizontally across the entire coordinate plane because in Step 2, Nancy plotted time instead of temperature on the x-axis.

It will not be spread out vertically across the entire coordinate plane because in Step 3, Nancy plotted temperature instead of time on the y-axis.

Answer:

the second paragraph describes better the graph

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all, the rank of the scale is too big for the graph. Water boiles at 100°C so extend it till the 200°C is unnecessary.

The  y-axis scale is wrong because the celcius degree component of the graph´s points have a value within 50 and 90. Considering that one point of the graph´s scale is equal to 50°C, the hole set of points will be drawn between two point of the graph´s scale.

The x-scale is correct because the minutes of the points have a value within 0 and 4. The scale separates well the points and the rank is appropiate for the datums

Solve For 1/4 + 1/2 + x = - 3/4
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

x= negitive 6/8

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok think about it 1/4 plus 1/2 is 3/4

so how do i go to negitives?

you double the amount of it and then minus it

because 3/4- 3/4 would be zero

so you have to double it to get that answer

A gumball machine has different flavors sour apple,grape,orange and cherry . There are six of each flavor. $.50 are put in the m
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

30/552

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to solve this problem you need to multiply the probability of getting grape for the first gumball with the probability of getting grape for the second gumball. Since there are 6 grape gumballs and a total of 24 gumballs (6*4). Then the probability of getting grape for the firs one is

\frac{6}{24}

Now there are only 5 grape gumballs available and one less in the total supply, therefore the probability of getting grape in the second try is

\frac{5}{23}

Finally we multiply them together to find the probability of getting two grapes in a row.

\frac{6*5}{24*23} = \frac{30}{552}
