What are the advantages of seeing a specialist as opposed to a primary care physician
Pachacha [2.7K]
Primary Care Providers are doctors who have been trained to be a patient’s first point of entry into the health care system. If you're looking to get your annual physical or need to see a doctor about something that's wrong with your health, they’re great resources because they’re trained to be able to diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions. Specialists are doctors who have advanced training and degrees in a particular branch of medicine, such as heart health or bone health. Depending on the field, many can also perform surgery. If you have, say, a suspicious mole, your primary care provider may recommend that you follow up with a dermatologist so he or she can check it out and possibly remove it surgically.

Hope that helps!

If you wanted to find out how many New Yorkers suffer from asthma,
Ilya [14]
A good way to find that out is to calculate the number to get an estimate. for example, about one in every 12 people has asthma. so take the population of new york, and divide it by 12 to get an estimate of a number of people in the state of new york that might have asthma.

Healthy or not healthy?
ipn [44]
Cheryl needs to be more cautious on the things she is eating. Nutritious is a important part, and especially protein, which comes in meat.
By balancing this vegetarian diet, and consulting doctors, it could be healthy, yes. But the way she is addressing it, no it is not healthy.
