Answer:

The Watergate scandal, uncovered by two reporters from the washington post, revealed questionable activities in the Richard Nixon administration.

Explanation:

This political scandal took place between 1972 and 1975 and revolved around the knowledge of illegal activities by the Republican administration President Richard Nixon during the 1972 election campaign.

The scandal began when they arrested five men who had been spying on the National Democratic Committee at the Watergate Hotel in Washington. As the judicial investigation progressed, evidence was discovered that showed how the Nixon administration was implicated in the facts.

In 1973, President Nixon partially accepted the responsibility of the government. This is how he was forced to dismiss several officials involved.

In 1974, magnetophonic evidence was presented to prove that President Nixon covered up the scandal. This evidence caused the president to lose all political support in Congress. On August 8, Nixon resigned his position as president since he was unable to govern without a "political base" to support him.

Explain the various ways the American Revolution affected society.
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

It changed mostly politically.

Explanation:

Socially and economically speaking the Revolution did not have a major impact, indeed those who were part of the ruling classes remained in the upper classes. Slavery was not abolished after the Revolution, though in the North it was abolished shortly after the revolution.

Politically speaking it led to the creation of the Republic with its principles of liberty. The republic was inspired by the ideals of John Locke. The colonists were no longer the subjects of the British crown.
