When is は (ha) pronounced as (wa) like in こんにちは?
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:I'm only a year or so in to learning but believe it's more or less a partial phrase.

こんにち is like "this day" and は is just the particle

So こんにちは is like "as for this day(it is 'insert unspoken words')"

Same with こんばんは "as for this evening"

If you were to say to someone on the street "Beautiful day" which is just an adjective and a noun but doesn't have a verb anywhere, you'd know they just meant "It's a beautiful day out, don't you agree?" and that it was a greeting.

The whole partial phrase thing happens a lot in casual speech. When someone asks あなたは "as for you?", it's typically asked as a question but doesn't have a か or anything about what is being asked. Context.

BEST POEM GETS BRAINLIEST!! OTHERS GET 5 STARS AND A THANKS!! AND ONE THEIR PROFILE!!!! MAY THE BEST WIN
Anna11 [10]

Answer: “There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause trouble without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood... and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster.”

Choose the correct possessive pronoun to use in place of the highlighted noun(s). We went home early from Nancy's party.
Stella [2.4K]
I’m going to assume that “Nancy’s” is the highlighted noun. Thus, it should be:

We went home early from (her) party.

Let me know if a different one is highlighted because I can’t tell.
