Answer:

Hydrogen

Explanation:

Bohr Model: In this model negatively charged electrons orbits a positively charged nucleus like the planets orbiting around the sun. Coulomb force between the negatively charged electrons and positively charged nucleus is mathematically akin to the gravitational force of the solar system. Important points are-

  • The electrons orbit the nucleus in the orbits that have a set energy and size.
  • Orbital energy is related to its size, highest energy is found in the largest orbit.
  • The radiation is emitted or absorbed during the movement of electrons from one orbit to the other.

Bohr Model of Hydrogen :

The example of hydrogen atom is simplest in case of Bohr model or for a hydrogen-like ion in which the electrons which is negatively charged orbits around a positively charged nucleus. Only certain electron orbits are allowed and radius of the orbit increases square of n, where n is the principal quantum number. The first line of Balmer series is produced in the 3 to 2  transition. For hydrogen, z=1, this produces a photon of wavelength 656 nanometer.

How does the genetic disorder sickle cell anemia support evolution by natural selection?
Maru [420]

Individuals who suffer from sicke cell anemia have deformed erythrocytes. The parasite that causes malaria(plasmodium malarie) uses erythrocytes for reproduction and as part of the infection. Those parasites can't infect sickle erythrocytes. It supports evolution by natural selection because individuals who had sickle cell couldn't get malaria so they lived long enough to have offspring and pass on their genes(including sickle cell). Individuals who didn't have sickle cell died of malaria and didn't get to have offspring. That's why sickle cell has a high frequency in the continent of Africa where malaria is also frequent.

Binary fission is a type of ______ seen in prokaryotes, such as archaea and bacteria.
erica [24]

Binary fission is a type of asexual reproduction seen in prokaryotes, such as archaea and bacteria.

Binary fission is the formation of daughter cells by the separation of an organism into two parts. The division of the genetic material occurs by the method of duplication. The daughter cells are identical to each other. The examples of organisms that undergo binary fission are: Escherichia coli, Salmonella enterica and Clostridium botulinum.

Asexual reproduction is the process of producing new organism without the fusion of gametes. Only one parent can give rise to offspring. There are several methods of asexual reproduction. These are: binary fission, fragmentation, budding, vegetative propagation and spore formation.
