Answer:

i dont know the other answers but the earth takes 4 mins to turn a degree so you multiply 310 by four then divide your answer by 60 to convert the answer from minutes to hours

Answer:

Part A). 20 hours 42 minutes taken by earth to rotate 310°.

Part B). 19 hours 6 minutes taken by earth to rotate 5 radians.

Part C). 2072.4 miles a point on the equator rotate in 2 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Earth rotate 360° in 24 hours.

Part A).

Time taken by earth to rotate 360° = 24 hours.

Time taken by earth to rotate 1° = \frac{24}{360} hours.

Time taken by earth to rotate 310° = \frac{24}{360}\times310 hours.

                                                   = 20.7 hours = 20 hours 42 minutes (approx.)

Part B).

Time taken by earth to rotate 360° = 24 hours.

We know that 360° = 2π radian

Time taken by earth to rotate 2π radian = 24 hours.

Time taken by earth to rotate 1 radian = \frac{24}{2\pi} hours.

Time taken by earth to rotate 5 = \frac{24}{2\pi}\times5 hours.

                                                  = 19.098 hours = 19 hours 6 minutes (approx.)

Part C).

Diameter of Earth = 7920 miles

Radius of Earth, r  = 7920/2 = 3960 miles.

Degree of rotation in 24 hour = 360°

Degree of rotation in 2 hour, \theta\:=\frac{360}{24}\times2=30^{\circ}

Now use Formula used to calculate Length of the arc of the circle.

Length of the Arc = \frac{\theta}{360}\times2\pi r

Length a point on equator moves in 2 hour =  \frac{\theta}{360}\times2\pi r=\frac{30}{360}\times2\times3.14\times3960=2072.4\:miles

6m-6=9m+15 (Show work)
9966 [12]

Answer:

m=-7

Step-by-step explanation:

6m-6=9m+15

Add 6 to both sides:

6m-6+6=9m+15+6

6m=9m+21

Subtract 9m from both sides:

6m-9m=9m+21-9m

-3m=21

Divide both sides by -3:

\frac{-3m}{-3}=\frac{21}{-3}

m=-7

The average of 6 quiz scores, where x is the score of the last quiz, is

\dfrac{83+81+89+92+80+x}6=\dfrac{425+x}6

The student needs a minimum average of 86 to earn an A:

\dfrac{425+x}6=86\implies425+x=516\implies x=91

so the student needs a score of 91.

nlexa [21]
The answer is C, 25% increase. To find the increase, subtract starting value (780) from the final value (975). It equals out to be 195. Divide 195 by the starting value which turns out to be 0.25. Then, multiply 0.25 by 100 which equals out to be 25.

Isabella bought 4 1/4 pounds of watermelon for $14.88. What is the price, in dollars, of 1 lb of watermelon?
Harman [31]

Answer: The correct answer is $ 3.50 per pound. If she buys 4 1/4 pound, we convert the 1/4 to the decimal 0.25. Take the total cost of $14.88 and divide it by 4.25, the amount of watermelon she bought and it equals $3.50 per pound.

14.88/4.25= 3.50
