It is important to remember and celebrate VE Day because of how important the day was. VE Day marks when the allies finally claimed victory over Germany and Axis forces, and it’s a day to celebrate all the lives lost in battle. The best comparison would be veteran’s day in America, where we celebrate the lives of soldiers lost in battle. Overall VE Day is celebrated to remember the glorious victory over Germany and its allies, and well as remember and celebrate the lives of the many soldiers lost in WWII.
