Step One

Convert miles to km. The conversion constant is 1.6 km / mile

19 miles * 1.6 km/mile = 30.4 km Notice the miles cancel.

Step Two

Convert the gallons to liters.

This is the sticky part of the question. Where are you? The conversion factor is different in Canada or Great Britain that it is in the United States. If you are not in the US use 4.5 otherwise 1 gallon has 3.78 L in it if it is a US gallon

30.4 km / 3.78 L = 8.04 km per Liter using a US Gallon.

30.4 km / 4.5 L = 6.76 km / Liter using an Imperial Gallon which not used in either Canada or Great Britain. Imperial Gallons are obsolete.

Answer:

Rational

Step-by-step explanation:

\sqrt[3]{125} is also equivalent to 5

The definition of a <em>rational </em>number is any whole number, fraction, or decimal that ends or repeats, while an <em>irrational </em>number is any number that cannot be turned into a fraction.

5 is a whole number, and therefore, is a rational number.

lakkis [162]
<span>A. Write and solve an algrebraic equation to find out how many gallons of gas they will use. Explain your steps.

let x = gallons of gas they will use
    y = distance traveled

x = y/20
x = 1058/20 = 52.9 gallons of gas

B. Write and solve an algebraic equation to find out how many miles they will travel.

</span>let x = distance traveled
    y = gallons of gas used

x = 20y
x = 20(52.9)
x = 1058 miles

Hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Ms. Smith has a recipe for a batch of cookies that calls for ¼ cup of flour but she has to cut the recipe into a half because of
melomori [17]

Answer:

\frac{1}{8} cup of flour

Step-by-step explanation:

To change the ÷ sign to a × sign, swap the denominators and numerators of the second fraction.

\frac{1}{4} ÷ \frac{2}{1} = \frac{1}{4} × \frac{1}{2}

Directly multiply. (Denominators with denominators and numerators with numerators)

\frac{1}{4} × \frac{1}{2} = \frac{1}{8}
