It is composed of two parts which uses Latin grammatical forms. According to the binomial nomenclature, the name of the organism must always start from a capital letter and the second should start from a small letter.

The first part of the name signifies the genus of he organism and the second part of the name signifies the specific name of the organism.

You capitalize the genus name, but write the specific epithet in small letters.
