Answer: 3 dollars is saved on 9 bars

Step-by-step explanation:

Original price of one bar soap is $2

Original cost of 3 bars would be 2×3 = $6

But it was sold at a rate of 3 bars for $5. Amount of money saved on 3 bars would be 6 - 5 = $1

If another 3 bars are bought for $5, the amount saved will be $1 again.

If 3 extra bars are bought for $5, the amount saved will be $1

Total number of bars bought is 3 + 3 + 3 = 9

Total amount saved = 1 + 1 + 1 = $3

Checking,

3 bars = $5

9 bars = (9×5)/3 = $15

Originally, 9 bars = 9×2 =$18

Amount saved = 18 - 15 = $3

You saved $12.6

3 divided by $5 = 0.6

0.6 x 9= $5.4

9 x $2 = $18

$18- $5.4= $12.6

What is 6.54 as a mixed number
Andrews [41]
The number given in the question is in decimal form. It has to be first changed to fraction and then only can it be changed to a mixed fraction. The calculations have to be done correctly and then the problem is very straight forward.Now let us concentrate on the problem in hand.
Then
6.54 = 654/100
       = 327/50
       = 6 27/50
From the above deduction we can definitely conclude that the mixed number for 6.54 is 5 27/50. I hope this simple procedure will help you to attempt such type of problems in future without requiring any additional help.

What is the equation of the line, in point-slope form, that passes through the points (4, 8) and (2,-2)?
Annette [7]

Answer:

y = 5x -12

Step-by-step explanation:

point-slope form:

y - y1 = m(x-x1)

m= slope

m= (y2-y1)/ (x2-x1)

we have (4, 8) and (2,-2)

x1 = 4         y1= 8

x2= 2         y2= -2

m=( -2-8) / (2- 4)

m= -10/ -2

m= 5

so we have:

y - 8 = 5(x-4)

y - 8= 5x -20

y= 5x -20 +8

y = 5x -12

6. (5 points) What is 3loga + logb − logc written as a single logarithm?
Jobisdone [24]

Answer: log(\frac{a^3b}{c})

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to use the following Properties of Logarithms:

1)m*log(a)=log(a)^m\\\\2)log(a)+log(b)=log(ab)\\\\3)log(a)-log(b)=log(\frac{a}{b})

Given the following expression:

3log(a) + log(b) - log(c)

You can follow these steps in order to write it as a single logarightm:

- Apply the first property shown above:

=log(a)^3 + log(b) - log(c)

- Apply the second property:

=log(a^3b)- log(c)

- Finally, apply the third property:

=log(\frac{a^3b}{c})
